Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • C/1BPosition Projection

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Noah is a hardworking C/1B prospect who has a lanky, projectable build. Behind the plate, Noah has an effective setup. He is a wide target and stays square to the pitcher. Noah covers good ground when needing to block the baseball. He has a long exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He can benefit from a quicker release and improved arm strength. As a right-handed hitter, Noah has a square setup with his weight on his heels. He has a load with a square stride and late timing. Noah has a strong backside and a long swing path. He works hard through his ABs. Noah is a contact type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Noah is a versatile prospect who has potential to advance his game with development.

04/08/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Hattiesburg, MS Noah is a young, 2-way player with a thin frame. Behind the plate, Noah has active footwork, agile movements, and he sits in low and athletically. He is a coachable young catcher with a quick exchange and some accuracy to 2nd base. At 1B, Noah has active feet, soft hands, and he works around the bag well. He creates proper angles, has a loose arm, and throws with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Noah has a tall set-up, a short stride, and quiet actions. He will need to work on the following in order for abilities to improve.

3. Receiving

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
