Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/LHPPosition Projection

07/20/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Minneapolis, MN Noah is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Noah shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. Taking a quicker first step can help Noah make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing with good extension, leading to solid contact. Noah can barrel up more baseballs by taking a shorter stride. On the mound, Noah gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and repeats his delivery well. Noah operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 70mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 54-57mph with 2-8 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph with sinking action. Striding inline toward the plate can help Noah improve his pitch command. Overall, Noah is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
