Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/LHPPosition Projection

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Tiger Town Noah is a coachable player who made adjustments to his game during his time at Tiger Town. At 1B, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into his mitt. He works well around the 1B bag - moving to throws up and down the line. Continuing to develop his foot speed / agility will help to increase his lateral range in the INF. Offensively, this lefty has a balanced setup with patience. He takes a hack through a level path and finishes complete. He barrels the ball up and hits line-drives with some pop to his pull-side. Even more power potential is there with more hand separation on his load and more lower 1/2 drive. On the mound, Noah toes the rubber with a purpose. He has a repeatable delivery and throws strikes - challenging hitters to swing the bat. FB shows slight tail as he works to keep it down in the zone. More glove-side lead with drive downhill off of the rubber will help to improve effectiveness on the mound. Webb is a hard worker who still has a ton of time to develop his skills.

10/11/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Gaffney, SC Noah is a young (2021 grad) LHH 2-way player as a 1B/LHP. With the bat, he stands in well with centered balance. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and will pull it with pop. At 1B, Noah hustles into a square fielding position and tracks the ball into his mitt. He secures it with sure hands and has the ability to pick throws out of the dirt. On the mound, this LHP has a 3-pitch mix coming form a high 3/4 arm slot and clean arm action. He works to a tall/controlled balance point, maintains level shoulders and works in-line toward the dish. He maintains fluid tempo and repeats his delivery well. FB ranges from 51-53 mph while showing arm-side run. Breaking ball has 2/8 shape with tight spin. He finishes complete and square to his target. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Offense
1. Stride square
2. Lower 1/2 drive
3. Timing
Defense
1. Footwork/agility
2. Lateral quickness
3. Glove presentation
Pitching
1. Arm strength (long toss)
2. More lower 1/2 drive
3. Off-speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
