09/27/2015 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Noah continues to show as a RHP/1B and has improved his baseball abilities, displaying a promising future on the diamond. Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 84 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-84 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches, attacking hitters. He shows a solid mound presence with stock on the mound improving as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are quick / aggressive as he moves well laterally, displaying range. Hands are soft / sure and he consistently showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, saving throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic / squared setup and he tracks the ball well. Hands are quick / aggressive and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will increase has works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. With 2 years to further develop, Noah has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.

08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Noah is a coachable player graduating in 2017. Defensively, he is an agile fielder with a projectable frame and big target for other infielders. On the mound, Noah throws from a hi 3/4-slot with clean arm action and command of 3 pitches. He throws a heavy FB with repeatable mechanics making it tough for hitters to get the upper hand. He is an aggressive RHP that attacks hitters early in the count and will see improvement by enhancing his secondary pitches. At the plate, Noah has a strong core that helps him hit with consistency and power to all fields. As he develops lower half strength and gets more separation up top, his hitting stock will raise. Noah continues to improve and will be a player to keep an eye out for.

03/29/2015 - National Tryout Plus - Pittsburgh, PA Noah is a skilled 2-way player (1B/RHP) who has a projectable frame (6'2"/190). At 1B, he shows active footwork maintaining good body control. He moves well laterally, gets into a square fielding position and tracks the ball into his mitt. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced approach with rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is quick through a short/direct path as he connects and drives the ball on a line creating good extension through his finish. Even more power potential is there with more lower 1/2 drive. On the bump, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a tall balance point, maintains level shoulders and drives off in-line toward the dish. FB tops out at 78 mph as he fills up the zone with strikes. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape (65-68 mph) while changeup has run & sink. Noah has a solid all-around skill-set with a ton of upside on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
