Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • LHPPosition Projection

10/06/2019 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Noah is a tall and strong LHP that will graduate in 2020. On the bump Noah shows a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and CH. The FB shows some tail, the CB is 1-7 with medium break with solid command, and the CH is deceptive with FB arm speed and good movement. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber well separating his hands on time and works with a clean arm action. His stride is slightly closed with good length as he greats good extension towards the target. He repeats his mechanics well with good feel for all pitches. At the plate, Noah sets up in a square and athletic stance as he gets his foot sown on time. His rhythm is smooth as he keeps his weight centered showing good lower half rotation. He gets the barrel direct to the ball making hard gap to gap contact. Overall, Noah shows the ability to be a solid pitcher at the next level that can definitely swing it for himself.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
