01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nolan is an athletic OF/RHP who showed as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, hitting abilities are outstanding with excellent power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pulls side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 81-82 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Nolan has a very high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

01/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bothell (Seattle), WA Nolan is a C/OF with athletic build (6'0/170lb) in the 2024 class. This athlete jumps off the page with his athletic ability and ability to hit at the next level. For a young player he shows true potential power and traits that will make him a prospect in the future. He possesses plus bat speed, quick hands, and does a good job getting the ball. At the plate he has a line drive approach and makes consistent hard contact. As a catcher he plays above his age at the position. Moves well behind and creates a good target for the pitcher. The glove skills are great and he is able to frame the ball well, also has a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate around the bag. Being a well rounded player, he plays the outfield well and covers ground. With 4 years to build upon his skills he will continue to develop into a prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
