09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Nolan is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2022. Tall frame athletic build and strength present. At SS, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with quick feet, and has good body control at baseball. Creates good angles and fields from an athletic fielding position. A long arm action, with a quick release, and ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Accurate/on-line throws, with good direction towards target, and an arm velocity up to 83mph across diamond. Showed touch on his DP flips and a 2-hand exchange on his DP pivots. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an even and upright stance. He activates his hands, with good balance at contact, and ability to stay long through the baseball. Direct barrel path as he hit line drives consistently with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph during BP. With another of development, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Nolan is a solid, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. Nolan has a lot of potential and will get looks from the college coaches as he continues to progress his game.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Nolan is a lean and athletic SS prospect that plays the game hard. At SS, Nolan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and has a quick first step to the ball. He creates direct angles and has range on both sides of the glove. At the plate, Nolan starts in a relaxed stance, he has a simple load, and he attacks the inside part of the ball. He rotates his backside, and makes consistent hard contact to all fields. Nolan is a highly motivated and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
