01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Oakley showed as a top prospect at the Preseason Rookie All American showcase. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He starts in an athletic ready position and fields in a square position. Glove action is sure and present well out front. He moves well laterally, utilizing his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he shows a 2-pitch mix, keeping hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 74-79 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters, throws strikes with all his pitches through a quick tempo, and challenges hitters . He show a good mound presence and is confident on the mound. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Oakley has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

12/01/2023 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament 2027 SS/RHP prospect Oakley continues to show out with his baseball development. At short, he does a great job of getting a good first step and shows off a ton of athleticism at the position. He is active and really attacks the baseball, doing a great job of fielding out in front. He moves well to both the glove side and backhand and there isn't a play he can't make. He does a great job of creating momentum with his throws and making accurate throws with a quick arm action. He recorded an impressive raw velo of 83 MPH. At the plate, he shows off easy movements and has an active load. He stays on-time with his timing and does well to work through the baseball with his lower half. He stays inside the baseball with an on-plane swing and makes solid contact in the box. He has a middle of the field approach and he reached base in 2 of 6 plate appearances with 2 walks. He improved on his best exit velo with a mark of 82 MPH. He has a really nice presence on the mound and does a great job of staying balanced while also getting on-time separation. His delivery is clean and repeatable and he gets plus extension while keeping his shoulders in-line to his target. He has great feel for the strike zone and really pounds the zone. He struck out 2 in 2 innings of game action with a good mix of pitches including a really sharp breaking ball. His FB shows off solid arm-side run. Overall, Oakley is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of as he continues to develop!

07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Oakley is a 2027 3B/RHP prospect that recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. At third, he gets in an athletic position pre-pitch and shows off active footwork. He gets a good first step and squares himself off to ground balls, doing well to work right to left. His exchange is clean and he creates momentum to his targets with his throws. He features an impressive arm, recording a raw velo of 84 MPH which improved on his previous mark. He makes accurate throws with a quick, short arm action. At the plate, he starts in a squared, athletic, crouched stance with loose, comfortable hands. He has a simple, activated load with a squared stride and a controlled rhythm. He has a firm frontside with his lower half and an on-plane swing, staying direct to the baseball through contact. He makes hard, consistent contact and finds the barrel routinely, showing off good coordination with his hips and hands. He shows some pop to the middle of the field. He reached base in 5 of 7 plate appearances in game action, with a double, two singles, walk and hit by pitch. He improved on his previous exit velo with a recording of 79 MPH. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot with a clean arm action and features a 3-pitch mix. He shows confidence pre-pitch, then gets going with a simple starter step and gathers his balance quickly. He gets on-time separation and plus extension, staying in-line to his target with his stride. His FB reached a max velo of 74 MPH and showed some arm side run. His breaking ball has some good late action and sharp break and his cutter has good movement. In two innings of game action he struck out 2 and didn't allow a hit. He shows a ton of upside on the bump. Overall, Oakley is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of as he continues to develop!

04/23/2023 - National Showcase - Daytona Beach, FL Oakley continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Improved his exit velocity to 78 mph, well above average for his age. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. Hitting abilities will continue to improve as he works to get his stride foot down sooner to work on time. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 76 mph. Fastball showed a range of 75-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

03/05/2023 - National Showcase - Sanford (Orlando), FL Oakley is a solid 3B/RHP who plays above his 2027 grade. In the field, he works from the ground up and secures the baseball. He covers his defensive zone and squares his body to the baseball. His exchanges are quick and he gains a long high ¾ slot. His feeds have life at 79 velo and is accurate to the targets. On the mound, he shows tempo and balance. He stays directional down the hill and stays on his target. His FB sat 74-5 and was in the zone. His CB showed 12-6 shape and his cutter sat 68-70. Change has feel at 65 and tailing actions. Working to use his lower body should added more explosion behind his delivery. At the plate, he shows balance and sees the baseball well. His hips and hands are in sync and his barrel awareness is advanced. Has a direct path at 69 bat speed. Looks to use the whole field with a line drive approach. Overall, Oakley is a player to watch in the 2027 class.
