07/07/2019 - Baseball Factory Cleveland All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Oisin is a coachable C/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Cleveland All Star Experience. Behind the plate, Oisin works to receive and makes good long hop throws to the 2B bag. Getting into a more athletic stance can help Oisin improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load on time and takes a level swing, leading to solid line drives. Oisin can improve as a hitter by activating his hands more in his load. With six more years to develop, Oisin has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

04/07/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Sanford (Orlando), FL Oisin is a young C/1B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Behind the plate, Oisin presents a good target and tracks the ball into his glove. He works around the ball and tucks his chin when blocking. At 1B, Oisin takes a good prep step and makes the routine plays. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load and drives his lower half through well. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Catching
1. More athletic stance
2. Increase lateral range
3. Quicker exchange
Infield
1. Footwork to field
2. Present hands out front
3. Follow throws
Hitting
1. Smoother rhythm
2. Softer stride
3. Add strength

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
