Exclusive College Recruiting Program Parker is an exciting infield prospect with a polished RH swing and some explosiveness to his game. He's balanced at the plate with outstanding feel for the barrel and a clean, repeatable stroke that results in hard contact to all fields. His hands are quick, generating good bat speed through the zone and flashing some pull-side power. His approach is mature and allows him to both handle velocity and adjust to off-speed stuff. Defensively, Parker can play on either side of the bag and his quick first-step gives him good range in all directions. His hands are quiet and sure while his feet are quick and put him into good position to make plays. His arm is accurate and finishes plays well. Overall, Parker has that "true baseball player" vibe, and he possesses a great combination for success at the next level - a natural hitter who is a hard worker.

07/31/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Parker continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities have improved, now showing outstanding as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate with zip (80 mph velocity) across the diamond. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting abilities are now well above average through an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

05/12/2019 - National Tryout Plus - San Antonio, TX Parker continues to shine on the diamond and has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range is plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Parker is an athletic and talented 2020 SS prospect that works hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At SS, Parker is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and anticipates the ball off the bat. He shows range on both sides of the ball but needs to increase his overall arm strength for the position. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate parker, starts in an open stance, loads his hands back, and creates backside rotation. He sees the ball well and is a gap to gap hitter. He needs to continue to keep a quiet head, attack the inside part of the ball, and hunt the fastball. Parker has a high baseball IQ and will continue to improve with experience. We hope to see his progress in the future.

05/20/2018 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Parker is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.07. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with throws displaying accuracy and zip across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Parker has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
