09/25/2016 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Parker is an athletic catching prospect with upside. Behind the plate, Parker plays with efficient footwork and a quiet, athletic base. He presents a good low target and has a clean exchange with above average hands. Parker's arm action is short and he throws over the top producing consistent throws online. His POP times down to 2B ranged 2.39-2.52 seconds. Offensively, Parker has a square stance with a short stride as his lower half leads the way. Parker takes a good load and is working to develop more rhythm. He maintains a quiet head with good balance throughout his swing. Parker is a projectable prospect that will continue to get better as he develops.

07/24/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Parker is a talented C with good upside. Behind the dish, he presents a big target with good body control. He receives it really well with great awareness of the plate. Parker deadens the ball when blocking and works hard to get around it. Improving arm strength and quickness will improve his pop times and overall defensive abilities. In the box, this RHH showed a strong, athletic build with a square stance. He hit with active hands, good balance and fired his hips and hands direct through the ball. Parker is a solid player and with continued work will impress college coaches.

11/13/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Parker is a young hard nosed catcher with a bright future in the game. Behind the plate he has quick feet, moves well laterally when blocking and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He receives with soft / sure hands and has a quick exchange on his throws. His throws are accurate and he knows how to control the running game. At the plate he has a smooth load, strong balance, and uses his lower half well. He is a strong hitter with lots of power potential and can drive the ball gap to gap.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
