09/08/2019 - College PREP - La Verne (Los Angeles), CA Parker continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.25 runner. Defensively at 3B, he shows active prep with fluid actions. He works around the GB and through it as he gains ground toward his target. Exchange is clean with strong throws. Backhand is smooth with a quick release with zip across the diamond (88 mph velocity). At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (94 mph exit velocity) as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. On the bump, he had a solid showing at the event. He attacks hitters, throwing a lot of strikes as he works to get ahead of hitters through a quick tempo. Fastball showed range of 82-84 mph. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and works to get ahead, utilizing both sides of the plate. Parker has a big upside and will get looks from top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Parker is a big, strong 3B/RHP with a bright future ahead on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. He moves well laterally, displaying range and soft / sure hands. Throws are accurate with on line zip (88 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate he continues to shine, through a squared setup. Hands are quick / explosive (93 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 80-85 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break. Control is outstanding as he works fast, attacking hitters and through strikes with all his pitches. With his baseball tools, Parker will get looks from the top collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
