03/22/2015 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Parker is a solid built junior 2B/C with good offensive strength. In the box, he displayed good balance and fluid actions to get his body ready to hit with activated hands. He delivered the barrel down on a direct path to contact and sprayed the ball to all fields with plus front side extension. He was coordinated with his hands and hips to hit and with added discipline, keeping his front foot closed, will hit more frequently hard hit balls. At 2B, he was active with his feet and efficient to make plays with sure hands. He worked in front with the glove and was quick and clean with his exchange. His first step helps to separate him from others, as he takes good angles and gets his hops. Behind the plate, he sits easy, presents in front, and sticks pitches with a soft glove. He showed present carry on his throws, flashing pops in the 2.17 - 2.3 range. Shortening his arm stroke and maintaining direction to 2B will boost pops. In all - Parker is an interesting follow with a good combination of defensive versatility and offensive ability.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
