01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Parker is an athletic OF/LHP prospect who continued to showcase his skills during the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Parker shows efficient footwork and works through the ball well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and works to barrel up the baseball, producing solid contact. On the mound, Parker is controlled gathering over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and drives his lower half through well. Parker shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph. Breaking ball sits at 64mph with 1-7 break. Overall, Parker is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

10/20/2019 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Parker continues to show as prospect on the diamond and continues to show improvements in his best baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he threw his best 60 time to date, now a 7.23 runner. At 1B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays clean / fluid actions. Footwork is solid as he displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front and showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he uses his quick / athletic feet well in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. He has good rhythm with quick hands (83 mph exit velocity) that work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 71-75 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Parker is a strong, athletic built 1B/LHP prospect who has a well-rounded skill set. In the field, Parker moves with agile actions and fields the ball in a square, athletic position. He presents his hands and fields the ball in front of himself. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose, short arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. Parker plays with momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, Parker has an athletic setup with a firm front side. He has comfortable hands and lunges with his stride. Parker has a long swing path and is developing bat speed. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. On the mound, Parker has an aggressive approach and good mound presence. He has a balanced, on-time delivery. Parker has a clean arm action throwing from a lower 3/4 arm slot. He has the proper stride length landing closed to home plate. His fastball shows good arm side run. Parker commands both his deceptive changeup and medium breaking curveball. Overall, Parker has a solid approach on both sides of the ball and potential to take his game to the next level.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Parker continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / sure but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open, athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

10/08/2017 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Parker is an athletic, versatile 2020 prospect who has the skills to play all over the field. He plays very solid defense at first with efficient footwork both to field and receive throws around the bag. He fields square to the ball and centers it in his body to keep everything in front, while also picking throws out of the dirt with ease. His hands translate well to the outfield, where he is sure handed and works around the ball to create good throwing angles. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup with a patient approach, letting the ball travel and using all fields. He has a strong bat angle, working directly to the ball to keep his hands inside and show pop to the pull side. On the bump, this southpaw displays a three-pitch mix, with a cut change that can keep hitters off his fastball. His mechanics are easy and repeatable, which allows him to command the ball to both sides of the plate. Working on balance throughout his delivery will lead to more consistent stuff in his outings. Parker is an interesting, young prospect who we look forward to continue watching as he develops.

12/04/2016 - College PREP - McCook (Chicago), IL Parker continues to progress his game with improvements in his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will continue to improve as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he has improved power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as threw his top velocity at 73 mph. Fastball showed a range of 67-73 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Building more arm strength through a long toss program will aid in further development on the mound.

07/24/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Parker continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity at 66 mph. Fastball shows a range of 64-66 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat but needs to work to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target to improve defensive grade. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an uphill swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a team player. Overall, Parker has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 Parker is a very coachable, hardworking player who brings a positive attitude to the field every day. In the OF he takes proper routes / angles and utilizes his feet to track balls down, working to get behind balls, playing through well. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. Continuing to develop his foot speed will help to increase range in the OF. At the plate, hands are loose and he makes consistent contact as he barrels the ball up and hits line-drives. Power numbers will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed in the low 60 range with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he threw 21 strikes out of 30 pitches in his 1 inning of work. With 5 years to further develop, Parker has a lot of potential and will only continue to progress.

11/12/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Parker has shown significant improvement in his raw arm strength increasing to 74 MPH. He has maintained a solid skill set in the outfield with great body control and a feel for angles. He can continue to focus on his 1st step explosiveness, which will add value to routes. Offensively, Parker showed line-drive ability with better rotation with his backside. Continue to focus on the load of the hands, making sure they reach the drive position before take off. Over the past few years Holland has proved to be a strike thrower. His commanded the FB once again and showed a good feel for his delivery. Adding more feel to his off-speed pitches will continue to add to his value on the mound.

06/16/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Parker continues to work hard on his skills. He has a high baseball IQ and is always thinking one-play ahead. In the OF, he has quick footwork and hustles to track down fly-balls to his right and left. He secures the ball with 2-hands and has a clean exchange to throw. Working on his pre-pitch footwork will allow him to take quicker routes to the fly-ball. Offensively, Parker displays an athletic setup and shows a good load with his hands. He whips the barrel through the zone and hits line-drives. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path while engaging his lower 1/2 more will help to improve skills at the plate. On the mound, he has sound mechanics and repeats his delivery well. Arm works long & loosely as he puts his FB on both sides of the plate. Driving off of the rubber more with his lower 1/2 will help him to add more velocity on his FB. Holland is a coachable player who is willing to make adjustments. Only a (2020 grad) Parker still has a ton of time to develop his game.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at the Yankees Training Complex Parker is a hard worker who brings energy to the field. In the OF, he works on the balls of his feet and tracks down fly-balls hit into the gaps. Transfer/exchange is efficient as he works to gain ground toward his target. Offensively, this RHH has a balanced setup with simple/quiet actions. He utilizes his lower 1/2 well to connect and drive the ball. Working on the contact points and hitting the ball to all parts of the field will help him to grow as a hitter. On the mound, Holland has sound mechanics and a good idea. FB/CH mix is effective as he works both sides of the plate. FB now tops out at 61 mph while showing arm-side run. He attacks hitters and pounds the zone with strikes. Developing a longer arm action by reaching back and staying on top through his follow through will improve effectiveness on all pitches. Parker is a gamer with skills that will only continue to develop in the upcoming years.

11/13/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Parker is a young and talented two way player that showcased in the OF and on the mound. In the OF he is aggressive to the ball and stays under control with his body. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws through the cutoff man. At the plate he has good balance, quick bat speed, and he keeps the barrel in the zone seeing the ball deep. He can spray the ball to all fields and he makes consistent contact. On the mound Parker works quick and gets ahead of hitters early. He throws a fastball with arm side run and a curve with a 1/7 shape. He uses his legs well and really drives through using his whole body.

07/07/2014 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition Parker is a young two way player who continues to build upon his skills each time we see him. On the mound, he operates with a smooth tempo, clean arm action and is athletic. Parker can improve on his stride direction toward the target and building his arm strength as he grows and matures. Defensively, he is an outfield who is very vocal, understands situations and knows his alignements. He can focus a bit more on catching the ball away from the core of his body and his angles on balls to his left side. At the plate, Parker can use the opposite field well, has a simple swing and keeps his head down on the ball through contact. He can work on creating slightly more rhythm when hitting and can also get better in his load separation (hands).

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at the Yankees Training Complex (Ages 12-14) Parker is a young two way player who will graduate in 2020. He gets to the ball quickly in the outfield and fields through the ball cleanly. He needs to work on his first step reaction, his angles, and his arm strength (should come as he grows and long tosses). Parker swings the bat aggressively at the plate with a good setup and level swing. He can improve by developing better rhythm at the plate while using his lower half more to maintain balance. As a Lefty on the mound, Parker has good mound presence and is resilient as the game moves along. He needs to maintain a consistent release point, develop more arm strength and solidify his mechanics. Parker is a competitor and handles adversity and pressure very well.

09/14/2013 - Pitcher/Catcher Accelerated Training Weekend (Ages 12-14) Parker is a young athletic pitcher with a long/loose arm action. He displays a smooth tempo, level shoulders, smooth seperation, and a complete finish. His curveball has a 2/8 slight break and his change up shows good sink and arm speed. He needs to continue to work on his curveball and change up to become more consistent. Parker is able to locate all three pitches for strikes (most of the time), keeping hitters off balance. Getting a better push with his back side will help him lengthen his stride and increase velocity. Also, getting to a better balance point will help his command improve. Parker is a young hard worker and projects well in the future.

08/24/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Parker is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays OF and LHP. Defensively, Parker is aggressive to the ball, he makes plays, and he gathers himself well. He has a clean exchange, and throws with consistency from a long arm action to his target. On the mound, Parker has level shoulders, a controlled balance point, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Parker shows good balance, a square set-up, and a short stride. He swings a level stick, and uses his lower body well. Parker can improve abilities with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
