Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/OFPosition Projection

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Parker is a versatile RHP/OF prospect who has a tall, projectable build. On the mound, Parker has a good mound presence and composed emotions. He has balanced, on-time mechanics with a small starter step. Parker gathers himself well and has a relaxed knee lift. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Parker lands closed to home plate and cuts off his release. He can benefit from a longer stride and finishing with his chest over his front knee. Parker has run movement on his fastball at 79-81 MPH. Offensively, Parker has a tall, open setup. He has an activated load with on-time rhythm and a soft stride. He partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Parker has an up and down swing path. He has good barrel control producing consistent contact. Parker is a contact type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Parker is a hardworking prospect who has talented skill and high upside.

09/16/2018 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Parker is an athletic and talented 2021 RHP prospect. At the plate, Parker starts in a tall stance, and loads his hands back into drive position. He has fast hands to the ball, keeps the barrel on plane, and stays balanced through contact. On the bump, Parker gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends through his delivery. He keeps his fastball down in the zone, and has a big 12-6 curveball. Parker will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
