12/20/2020 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Parker continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved, now displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. He is a solid player that can play multiple positions in the infield.

12/06/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Missouri City (Houston), TX Parker continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, he showed as a LHH and has improved his abilities, now showing well above average hitting abilities without standing power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity)and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with carry across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/10/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Parker is an athletic RHH SS who graduates in 2023. With the bat, this righty shows a tall/open stance with smooth rhythm to load. He takes hack, engages his lower 1/2 and connects with pop to his pull-side. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path will help to increase pop off of the barrel. At SS, he shows active prep as he comes to get the GB. He makes the plays with soft hands and has the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Developing his footwork/agility will help to increase lateral range. Only a 2023 grad - Martin has tools with still time to progress to get to where he wants to be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
