12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Parker is a coachable 1B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Parker shows good lateral range and gets into position on time. He makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Parker field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a small load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a smooth swing and produces solid line drives. Parker can barrel up more baseballs by working on his pitch selection. On the mound, Parker keeps his eyes level and works with a clean arm. He finishes with a controlled landing and rotates his chest square to the plate. Parker operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph with tailing action. Curveball sits from 61-64mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 61-64mph. Slider sits from 65-66mph with good movement. Being more controlled gathering to his balance point can help Parker improve his pitch command. Overall, Parker is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/16/2021 - Pathway AZ Upperclass - 18U Parker is a 2023 1B/RHP who showcased his skills at the Pathway Tournament. At 1B, he showed a competitive demeanor and a willingness to root for his teammates. He works to center the baseball and ability to make routine plays. A clean transfer into a high 3/4 release point with accurate throws to second base. Showed good footwork around bag. On the mound, he starts with a small rocker step and separates his hands on-time. Gets good extension out front as he gets his chest over his front knee. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 68-71mph with some sinking action, an 11/5 shaped breaking with good command, and a developing changeup. In 5 innings of work, Parker fanned 5 batters and threw 68% of his pitches for strikes. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance with a high hand set. Controlled rhythm, with a short barrel path, and a strong barrel at contact. Hit baseballs into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph. During the games he reached base 4 times with 2 singles, a walk, and reached on error. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

06/06/2021 - All-In Membership - Boise, ID Parker is a RHP/1B prospect in the class of 2023. Tall frame athletic build, with a strong lower half, who has plenty of room to add muscle. Right-handed hitter starts with an upright and even stance. Good hip turn, with good extension through contact, and a high finish. Ability to backspin balls into both gaps with a recorded bat exit velocity of 84mph during his round of BP. On the mound, he has good feel for his off-speed pitches. FB topped sat 71-72mph with some movement through the zone. Mixed in a 12/6 shaped breaking ball and a CH he throws with FB arm speed. CB was his best pitch during his bullpen. At 1B, he starts with a good prep step and active footwork. Showed a good glove angle on his backhand while keeping his eyes behind glove. Created good angles and ability to pick out hops. Good touch on his DP feed and good bag awareness. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
