08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Parker continues to shine on the diamond. At 1B, feet are active as he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, a good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. Fastball showed a range of 73-77 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/15/2019 - College PREP - Avon (Cleveland), OH Parker is a solid, athletic 1B/RHP who graduate in 2022. At the plate is where he shows best through a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. At 1B, he displays smooth / clean actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Feet are active but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line zip (85 mph velocity) to his target. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but slows arm speed, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Parker has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
