01/26/2020 - College PREP - Myrtle Beach, SC Parrish showed well in the middle INF positions during his last workout in Myrtle Beach. He increased exit velocity at the workout it 86 MPH. Defensively, Parrish has fluid actions, soft hands, and a low/square fielding position. He moves well laterally, makes plays consistently, and he takes good angles to field. Parrish has a clean exchange and an accurate arm to his target. Added arm strength and gaining more ground when throwing will help defense get better. Offensively, Parrish has an open stance, good balance, and he can spray the ball to all fields. He gets the bat through the zone and makes solid/consistent contact. Hitting can spike with improved timing, more bat speed, and added lower 1/2.

07/17/2019 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Parrish is a coachable MIF prospect who showed well during the Under Armour Southwest Championships. In the field, Parrish takes a good first step and show quick, smooth footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good extension and plus bat speed, leading to solid gap to gap pop. Overall, Parrish is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

03/31/2019 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Parrish is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Parrish shows fluid footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He shows a fluid rhythm and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid line drives and gap to gap pop. With two more years to develop, Parrish has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Parrish is a MIF who is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack with power (80 exit velocity) showing best to the pull side. In the MIF, he has plus lateral range working from the ground up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. Parrish has the makings of a special type player and will gets looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

10/03/2018 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Parrish is a coachable MIF prospect who continued to work hard on his skills during his time at the Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic. In the field, Parrish shows active footwork and is agile attacking the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets back into his load well. He leads with his lower half and drives the ball with solid contact. Overall, Parrish is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/18/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Parrish continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.22 runner. At 2B, defensive abilities are tremendous as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. He will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 9 with a 2B. Mental makeup may be his best tool as he plays the game the right way.

04/15/2018 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Parrish continues to show as a prospect at SS and 2B. From the second base side, Parrish shows fluid, active feet and agile range, covering ground and shows feel on backhand plays. He gets into an athletic, low fielding position, presenting his hands early. Parrish's hands and feet work well together as he shows good body control reaching balls and making plays. He shows a clean exchange into a short, loose arm action (high 3/4 arm slot). He shows consistent accuracy, using his body's momentum to throw the ball on a line. At the plate, Parrish shows a pull type approach. He gets into an athletic set up with an on-time stride and a good load. He shows smooth rhythm and a good center balance. Parrish could see more pop by staying through with his lower half. He shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path, making consistent contact. Parrish could benefit from using the whole field with a gap-to-gap approach. Parrish could make an immediate impact at the next level with his skills on the field.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Parrish is an athletic 2B prospect who continued to show well at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Parrish shows efficient footwork and is very agile ranging to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to be accurate and carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and gets into his load well. He gets good extension through the ball with decent bat speed which leads to consistent contact. Parrish is a skilled prospect who has upside on the diamond.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Parrish continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as indicated by his top velocity of 76 mph. Fastball shows a range of 72-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

09/27/2017 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Parrish continues to show the makings of a special type player on the diamond. In the MIF, he displays smooth / clean actions. He attacks balls with his feet as he works around and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. At the plate he shows a squared / crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a short / direct path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed in the mid 70 range. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with early break and flashes potential when he stays on top. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard with velocities too close to fastball. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works very hard, and is a great teammate.

07/18/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Parrish is a lean 2B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 60 time of 7.39. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls. Glove action is soft / clean but needs to present more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing the whole field through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-75 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 4 years to further develop, Parris has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
