09/20/2023 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2025) Patrick is an athletic 5ft 9/165 CF in the 2025 class. Defensively, he is an elite defender. Posted a 6.49 60 in previous events (did not run at Junior Classic as he recovers from a hamstring injury) and his speed has not suffered. His feet are quick and he has exceptional closing speed to run balls down in the gaps. Takes advanced routes and has an understanding of how to maintain body control as he works through the baseball. At the plate, he has a compact swing from the left=side. Shows an athletic and relaxed stance and maintains comfortable hands. His trigger is on-time and achieves an on-plane bat path. Hands are fast at 83 exit velo and can create production to the pull side. Working to attack the inner half of the baseball will allow him to create full field production and become difficult to defend with his speed. Overall, Patrick is a next level player and scouts are eager to see where his game takes him.

08/21/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Patrick is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present and room to add throughout. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.6 seconds. In the OF, he showed ability to cover ground in all directions, with quick/fluid feet, and ability to make routine plays. Showed good lateral range as he works behind/through the baseball with a high 1-hand catch. Good carry on his throws into infield from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a quick release, and an arm velocity up to 88mph. At the plate, he starts with an upright and closed stance. Showed good discipline and only offered at pitches in the zone. Starts with a short/square glide step and activated hands. Some quickness to his hands with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. A short/direct barrel path enables him to hit balls hard to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Patrick having opportunities to play at the next level.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Patrick is an athletic middle of the diamond defender who hits from the left side with offensive upside to his game. Offensively, Patrick utilizes a simple setup with a quiet load and ability to be on time getting to the attack position. From there it’s a short swing with the ability to get the barrel into the zone early, but staying through the contact zone for an extended period of time. His approach is geared to stay through the middle of the diamond with a low line swing plane to maximize his offensive potential. There is present bat speed that shows doubles power to the pull side and projects to over the fence power as he matures and adds strength to his frame with age to become HR power. He shows a feel for the barrel and will continue to improve his exit velocity with is at 91 MPH currently on the max and consistently reach the mid to upper 90’s to higher exit velocity in the future. Defensively, he has athleticism to cover ground in CF running a current best of 6.49 in the 60 yard dash and has run consistently in the 6.5-6.6 range. His first step is quick and he shows burst to get up to speed early combined with baseball IQ and routes to the ball to be a potential above average to plus defender in CF as he matures. He has added arm strength over the last year putting on 9 MPH of raw arm strength going from a previous max of 79 MPH to now hitting 88 MPH on raw arm strength testing. His arm should play average to above average making him a legitimate candidate to stick in CF. Overall it’s an all around skill set that combines present baseball ability, athleticism with projection to be a high end prospect for colleges to follow in his grad class.

04/10/2022 - All-In Membership - Washington, DC Patrick is a class of 2025 Outfielder. In the field, he shows active footwork and agile feet that help take him to the baseball. Does a good job fielding from an athletic position. Gains ground and works downhill when fielding. Gets good reads off the bad and tracks the baseball well. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on line up to 82 MPH. At the plate, he hits from an athletic stance. Shows a short stride and ability to load into his backside. Stays balanced throughout his swing. Does a good job getting his barrel into the zone efficiently and creating square contact. Works to all fields. Patrick is a good player with a bright future as he continues his development. We hope to see him again in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
