11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Salem (Roanoke), VA Patrick is a 2026 SS/RHP prospect with an athletic frame. At short, he shows off active feet and he does a great job of creating angles on ground balls. He does well to get in an athletic fielding position and works hard to field the ball out in front. He is able to throw from multiple slots and he makes accurate throws to his targets with carry. He shows off a lot of athleticism at the position. At the plate, he starts in a tall, squared stance and has a short stride. He does a great job of keeping his balance centered through contact and displays smooth, fluid movements in the box with quiet actions. His lower half leads to the baseball and he shows off quick hands and fast bat speed. He stays short and direct to the baseball and makes hard, consistent contact with a gap-to-gap approach. He recorded a max exit velo of 83 MPH. On the mound, he throws from a low 3/4 slot and shows off a quick arm with a good feel for the zone. He gathers his balance over the rubber and gets on-time separation. He does a great job of extending through his release point and stays squared to the plate throughout his delivery. He keeps his eyes on his target and rotates to his target when finishing. His FB shows some arm side run and his SL shows off late break. He is able to get some sink when throwing his CH. Overall, Patrick is an intriguing prospect that should have an opportunity to play at the next level with continued development!

12/02/2022 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Patrick is a SS/RHP in the 2026 class. He plays above grade and has a high ceiling. In the field, he gains a true athletic fielding position and plays under the baseball. Moves well to his glove side and his exchanges are quick and clean. Gains a high ¾ release and has plus accuracy and carry (84 velo). Creating more attack and breakdown, will allow him to close the distance between him and the baseball. On the mound, he has a good feel for pitching and is composed. He works downhill and stays directional. He uses two pitches from a high ¾ slot. His FB run at 75-8 and his CB sits 62-4 with 11-5 shape. At the plate, he has a balanced set-up and shows quick hands through the zone (80 exit velo). Swing is short and displays line drive power to the pull side. Overall, Patrick is a player to watch and scouts are excited to see how he progresses at future events.

10/12/2022 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic (2026) Patrick is a coachable SS prospect who showcased his skills during the Fall Classic. In the field, Patrick shows active footwork with a quick first step. He fields in an athletic position and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets into a small load and engages his lower half well. He works through a level swing and produces consistent contact. Overall, Patrick is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Patrick is a very young two-way player in the 2026 class. As he matures physically he will fill out his frame and become a well-rounded player. His 82mph raw velocity speed stands out and will translate to the mound when he learns to use his legs. His current 2 pitch arsenal will also show better with more velocity. The CB has 11-5 shape. Offensively he shows good body control and can hit the ball the other way. Defensively, he features good glove awareness and good footwork. His game presence is beyond his years.

07/30/2021 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (MS) Patrick continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Fastball showed range of 68-72 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
