12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Patrick is a hardworking, coachable 3B with good aptitude and a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best and now shows tremendous power potential. Hands are quick as indicated by his 92 mph exit velocity and he has strength in his swing with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. He will hit and hit with power as he was 5 for 7 with a 3B at the event. At 3B, feet are active as he works to get around the baseball and displays clean hands. He moves well laterally, flashing range but will benefit by presenting glove more out front. Patrick has a lot of potential and is a sure player to follow.

08/09/2015 - College PREP - Great Falls, MT Patrick is a talented prospect at 3B who can swing it. With the bat, this strong righty maintains fluid rhythm to load and is ready to jumps of his pitch. Barrel delivery is quick with whip as he squares the ball up with strength (exit velocity = 89 mph) and drives it to the gaps. He will be a run producer and fit nicely in the middle of the batting order. At 3B, he is aggressive and comes to get the GB. He works lightly on the balls of his feet with plus lateral range. He gathers smoothly and has a quick release to fire strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Patrick has solid tools that will get him a ton of looks over the next couple of years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
