01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Paul is a two way player on the mound and at 3B with a tall, strong looking body that does show projection as it continues to physically mature. Currently he does show best on the mound where he has superior arm strength as indicated by his top velocity of 91 mph. He does not really have an off speed pitch and needs to develop one to be effective at the next level. He only threw 2 innings due to arm soreness. In the infield, he shows above average defensive abilities taking proper angles in coming to get and playing through ground balls. He moves well laterally and has a quick release in getting rid of the baseball with life and carry across the diamond. At the plate, Baggett has solid average abilities with near above average power. Swing path gets long displaying a pull type swing. He is rotational and pulls off pitches but hands do work well through the zone as he displays a solid feel for the barrel. Paul has a ton of potential and if he develops his off speed stuff, he could develop into a top notch arm on the mound.
