Paul is a very talented prospect who continues to get better. At 3B, Paul shows quick, active feet and is very agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low, athletic position and fields the ball out front with soft hands. He has a quick, clean exchange with a quick release on his throws which allows them to be accurate and carry across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH is very balanced and shows great power especially to his pull side. He sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride to the ball. He is smooth getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half. He displays quick hands with explosive bat speed which leads to consistent hard contact and power. Overall, this University of Tennessee commit has the tools to be an impact player at the next level.
01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
Paul continues to show better each time we see him. He had an impressive weekend at the UAAAPS Tournament in Arizona. He is a solid all-around player with present strength and a good feel for the game. He is an athletic infielder with active feet, sure hands and enough arm to handle the 3B position - accurate carry across the diamond with the ability to throw on the run, and from different angles. As a hitter, Paul's right-handed stroke is clean and efficient. He is balanced throughout and hits the ball with authority, as evidenced by an inside the park HR and a 3B, driving in 5 runs in the process. This University of Tennessee commit is a prospect to watch closely.
06/14/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida
Paul is a solid all-around talent who again showed well. With the bat, he maintains centered balance with a strong base. Hands are quick through a direct path as the ball jumps off of his barrel to all parts of the field. At 3B - he shows plus lateral range moving fluid right and left. Hands are clean as he funnels smoothly to a quick exchange with zip on his throws. Paul has the makeup of a special type of player who will make an impact over the next couple of years.
01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
With an athletic 6'2” frame and a well-coordinated swing, Paul has the look of a future impact bat at the next level. He accelerates the barrel through the zone and has intent in the box. There are flashes of present pull power with more to come as he matures physically. As a defender, Paul reacts and moves well at 3B showing the ability to read the speed of the ball and use his sure hands to secure the ball. He goes well to both sides and slings it across the diamond with some authority. Overall, this University of Tennessee commit is a prospect to follow closely over the next few years.

Paul is a tall, strong 3B/OF that will graduate in 2018 with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.15 60 time. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach, presenting soft / sure hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Defensive abilities in the OF are solid as he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles to track balls down. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through well, and covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Arm strength is near a pro level as indicated by his top velocity off 88 mph at arm strength station. Throws are accurate with life and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he shows an athletic / squared setup and he tracks the ball well. Hands are quick, aggressive, and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. With 3 years to further develop, Paul has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
