09/27/2015 - College PREP - New Orleans, LA Pete is an athletic SS that will graduate in 2016 with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.84 60 time. Defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he moves well laterally and works to square balls up, displaying soft / sure hands. He works around and plays through the ball well with his body. Hands / feet works well together through the fielding process. Throws are accurate with carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact as he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields and displaying gap to gap pop. Pete has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
