12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18)
Peter is a long, athletic player who continues to improve his game, especially his arm strength. He shows an experienced eye at the plate and couples that with barrel control to hit the ball hard. He stays balanced throughout his swing to use all fields and finishes on a firm front side to drive the ball. Behind the dish, he is active with his footwork, working to slide and block balls in the dirt. He has an accurate arm and replaces his feet to throw to second. Working on his exchange and release to be quicker will help lower his pop times. Peter is a young prospect with lots of potential on the field.
07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18)
Peter is a lean catcher who will graduate in 2020. Behind the plate, feet are aggressive and active as he works in line to his target, through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show in the range of 2.50-2.70 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and he works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft and he sticks in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down quicker. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 2 years to further develop, Peter has potential with time and room to progress his game.
