Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.98 with accuracy / on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 5 for 8 with a sac fly. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
