08/14/2014 - National Tryout - Trenton, NJ Gallo continues to work hard and make improvements in his game. Behind the plate, he maintains athletic actions and works quickly around pitches in the dirt. He has an advanced blocking technique and centers the ball off of his chest. With the bat, this RHH has an aggressive approach as he connects and drives the ball. He hits the ball where it's pitched and uses the entire field. At 1B, Gallo moves well around the bag and has good bag awareness. He has soft hands and can pick throws out of the dirt. A young 2019 grad - Peter is a skilled player who has a bright future in the game.

11/14/2013 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Peter proved to be a vocal leader behind the plate. He showed agile footwork, good target, and continued to display down and direct blocking skills. He will need to focus on staying relaxed in his hands when receiving with his weight staying balanced. Offensively, Peter displayed a good approach, direct/level swing path, and good extension. He can work on reaching a consistent load while using more of his lower half in his swing. Overall, Peter showed true leadership qualities behind the plate and should have a bright future as he continues to focus on his fundamentals.

07/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Peter is a 5'6"/120 lbs C/1B that shows consistency in his game. Behind the dish, he has an accurate arm, decent footwork, and an ability to use his body to block. His active feet allow him to get in-line to throw after receiving or blocking. At first, he moves well laterally with the same active footwork, and shows a sure glove. He has a slightly cleaner exchange at first with less hand separation. Offensively, he has a middle approach, is aggressive taking compact hacks making square contact with fluid rhythm. In all, Gallo is a 2019 prospect that should see improvements to his game when he matures and gets physically stronger.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
