01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Peter is an athletic SS prospect who continued to show well at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Peter shows efficient footwork and is very agile ranging to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains ground well when making throws across the diamond. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth getting back into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He gets good extension through the ball with decent bat speed which leads to consistent line drives. Peter is a skilled prospect who has upside on the diamond.

08/06/2017 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Peter showed improvements in many areas during his last workout in Dublin. Arm velocity increased to 72 MPH, 60 time dropped to 7.98, as well has hitting and defensive numbers improved. At SS, Peter showed clean actions and a soft glove, which he presents well. He fields in a low/athletic position, hands are soft, and Peter throws with accuracy and consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Peter shows a rhythmic swing, loose hands, and good feel for the barrel. He has direct hands to the ball, can hit to all fields, and he makes good use of his lower body.

08/07/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Dublin (Columbus), OH Peter is a young, 2-way player who continues to make great strides in his game. With the bat, this lefty has a balanced setup with fluid rhythm to load. He whips the barrel on a level path and squares the ball up, driving it on a line. At 2B - Peter has active pre-pitch movement getting on the balls of his feet as he's ready to move right or left. Hands are smooth as he turns the DP efficiently. On the mound, this RHP maintains fluid tempo and repeats his delivery well. He gets good glove-side lead and stays directional. FB tops out at 66 mph as it has slight sink. Utilizing more of his lower 1/2 to drive off of the rubber will help to get more into his throws. This 2021 grad is a hard worker who still has a ton of time to develop.

12/20/2015 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Peter is a hard working coachable player who has a willingness to learn. He hustles on and off the field and leads by example. At 2B, he shows active footwork and moves well into an athletic/square fielding position. He gathers well and has a smooth transfer/exchange to throw. Backhand play is clean as he plays through it well and works in-line toward his target at 1B. With the bat, Peter has a square setup with a solid base. Swing is level as he barrels the ball up and sprays it to all parts of the field. Working back into a loaded position sooner will help to increase contact consistency along with increasing pop off of his barrel. Peter also can get on the mound and throw strikes. He displays a solid mound presence, repeats well and attacks the zone making hitters swing the bat. CH has some sink and will get GB outs. More glove-side lead and finishing with extension will help to improve skills on the mound. Peter (2021 grad) has tools with a bright future as he continues to physically mature.

08/02/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Dublin (Columbus), OH Peter is a skilled 2-way player (2B/RHP) who graduates in 2021. In the INF, he shows quick/active footwork with athletic actions. He has good lateral range, is sure handed and has a quick/clean exchange to throw. At the plate, this lefty shows a balanced setup with rhythm to load. Hands are quick as he has a smooth swing on a level path. On the bump, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a 3/4 arm slot and clean/free arm action. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and works in-line toward the dish. FB tops out at 56 mph while breaking ball has 10/4 shape. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
