10/08/2017 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Peter is an exciting 2019 catching prospect with impressive athleticism. He is a defensive standout behind the dish with the game calling ability, arm and soft hands to make a huge impact. He shows quick, fluid actions in his hands and feet to move nimbly to receive and block. He takes good, efficient angles to receive and block to present pitches in the zone and smother balls in the dirt, while being able to release the ball quickly and throw with carry and accuracy. At the dish, he looks to drive the ball up the middle with a direct bat path, getting on plane early with a strong bat angle. He extends through contact to hit the ball square and spray line drives from gap to gap, with some pull side power. Getting more separation between his hands and lower half will allow him to stay back and balances to explode to the ball. Peter is a prospect who we believe has a very high ceiling on the baseball field.

12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Peter continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate he improved his hitting / power grade potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he shows gap to gap pop. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange. Pop times showed in the low 2.00 with accuracy and on line carry to his throws. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He moves well laterally through the blocking process and creates good angles. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard, and is a great team player.

10/23/2016 - College PREP - O'Fallon, MO Peter is an athletic, strongly built 2019 catching prospect. He is a wall behind the dish with quiet actions and quick feet to get down to block. He takes efficient angles to block, centering the ball in his body to smother and deaden it. His hands are firm and his exchange is quick while gaining momentum to his target to throw. At the plate, he has a middle approach, letting the ball travel and exploding through the zone to contact with good extension. He has a powerful bat angle from a stacked load and uses the whole field effectively. Working on incorporating his lower half will generate more power and bat speed to allow him to impact the ball with more force and turn singles into extra base hits. Peter is an exciting player we look forward to continue watching develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
