Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/RHPPosition Projection

10/13/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Springfield, MA Peter is an athletic 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Peter works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing square to the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 71-78mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 69-73mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Peter shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a low position and fields with a firm glove. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and great power potential. Overall, Peter is a talented prospect who shows the skill set to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
