Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • C/RHPPosition Projection

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Peter is a 2027 C/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. Behind the plate, he has quiet actions and presents a good target. Works with good direction towards second base and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Throws were on the bag and an arm velocity up to 68mph and a best pop time of 2.76 seconds. On the mound, he works with good direction down the mound and strides in-line to target. He attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 68mph, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. At the plate, he sets up in a tall and even stance with comfortable hands. A flat barrel path enables him to hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 65mph. During the games, he reached base 3 times with 2 singles, and a base on balls. Overall, Peter is a solid 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Peter is a class of 2027 C/RHP prospect. Behind the plate, he shows off a low target. Shows an easy sit and the ability to receive the baseball well. Worked in the 2.88-3.0 ranges down to 2B. At the plate, showed a quiet head and repeatable swing. Did a good job keeping his eyes level. Reached base multiple times in game action. On the mound, he showed clean actions. Showed the ability to control his fastball. Fastball was up to 70 MPH. Peter is a talented player that we hope to see again in the future.

07/06/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - St. Petersburg (Tampa), FL Peter is a tall C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. Behind the dish, Peter tracks the ball well and receives with a firm glove. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate/on-line to the 2B bag. Sitting in a more athletic stance can help Peter improve his overall catching ability. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid to load and drives the ball from gap to gap. Peter can barrel up more baseballs by working through a smoother swing path. On the mound, Peter gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Peter operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 66mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 49-51mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits at 57mph. Working through a simpler delivery can help Peter improve his pitch command. Overall, Peter is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
