11/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Marlborough (Boston), MA Peter worked out behind the plate and on the mound during his last workout with The Factory. Peter has a tall, athletic frame and overall skill are solid. Behind the plate, Peter has a simple set-up, active feet, and he presents his glove well. He blocks and receives well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with carry from a long arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.56 seconds. On the mound, Peter has good balance, a loose arm circle, and he lands with a proper length stride toward home plate. Offensively, Peter has a square/athletic set-up, he swings in good rhythm, and works the middle of the field. He stays behind the ball well, has fast bat speed, and he makes level/consistent contact. Peter can continue to improve with work on the following.

11/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Marlborough (Boston), MA Peter is a (2023 grad) as a 3B/C. Defensively at 3B, he moves well to his glove side and tries to work into a square fielding position on GB's. He has a clean exchange and makes strong throws to his target. Behind the plate, he sits low and receives pitches with a soft mitt. He gains ground to block and makes aggressive throws down to 2B. As a hitter, Peter has a strong lower 1/2 with balance. He whips his barrel fast through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
