10/26/2022 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Peyton is a 2023 OF who showcased his skills at the Best of the West Tournament. In the OF, he gets good reads on balls off the bat, with quick feet, and shows ability to run down baseballs. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He gets rid of ball and makes accurate throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 78mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with loose hands. He has a compact swing and keeps his hands inside the ball. Good hip rotation enables him to hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during BP. With another year of growth and development, we foresee Peyton having a bright future on the baseball field.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Peyton is a 2-way player with athleticism at the plate and defensively with the frame and body control to project to develop increased strength and athleticism combined with an advanced baseball skill set. Offensively, he has a compact swing with an ability to consistently barrel the baseball using a quiet timing mechanism and athleticism to generate bat speed in the low to mid 80 MPH range with a flatter swing plane geared to work the middle of the field with pull side power. Defensively he profiles to fit in CF where his quick first step and speed plays and combined with baseball IQ and instincts to be middle of the diamond defender. On the mound he features an advanced pitchability approach with the ability to throw strikes with 3 pitches and a FB that works in the low 80 mph range with control and a pair off speed pitches in his CB and CHG that feature control. As he adds strength to his frame and develops physically there is room to add velocity. Peyton projects as a middle of the diamond position player with offensive impact and an ability to add pitching depth to a college staff.

10/03/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Spokane, WA Peyton is an athletic 2023 OF/RHP. Defensively, he displayed active foot work in the out field which enabled him to get good jumps and cover ground. He got the ball in quickly and accurately to his cut offs. Offensively, Peyton uses a square set up with a toe tap to get timing. He does a good job of creating separation and getting the knob to the catcher all while being quick to the baseball. On the mound, Peyton showed solid mechanics with the ability to sink the fastball and really understand the usage of his changeup. His breaking ball had good spin with a 11-5 action. Peyton showed well at this event and will only continue to impress with continual development on his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
