07/03/2019 - Under Armour Firecracker Classic 18U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Peyton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup with balance. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 72-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a great teammate. Peyton has potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

04/07/2019 - College PREP - Sanford (Orlando), FL Peyton is a strong C/1B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Peyton shows efficient footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He sits in a square stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At 1B, Peyton shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He takes a short swing and hits against a strong front side, leading to consistent contact and line drives into the gaps. Overall, Peyton is a talented prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Peyton continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.21 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work on getting down quicker. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick and he stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with 4 BB as he shows good plate discipline. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player.

01/15/2018 - College PREP - Auburndale (Tampa), FL Peyton is a lean and athletic 2021 C prospect. Behind the dish, Peyton shows a firm target and works behind the ball when receiving. He controls balls in the dirt with his chest and has a clean exchange when throwing to bases. At the plate, Peyton starts in a squared stance and has a fluid load. He uses his lower half and gets extension through contact. Peyton will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
