12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Peyton is a lean, solid 3B that will graduate in 2016. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick and aggressive, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 2 for 7 and consistently put the ball in play. At 3B, he shows smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, displaying clean hands as he makes the plays. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he presents hand more out front. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 2 years to further develop, Ley has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities as he continues to improve.
