06/09/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Peyton is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and pitcher. Defensively, Peyton has active feet and clean hands. He moves well to the ball, fields in a square position, and his exchange is clean; throwing with accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, Peyton keeps his eyes on target, he stands over the rubber well balanced, and he has a controlled landing toward home plate. He works well to his balance point, has a controlled landing toward home, and he throws strikes. Offensively, Peyton has a square/athletic set-up and a level swing path. He has a short/direct barrel, makes consistent contact, and he uses his lower body. Peyton can continue to improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
