08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Peyton continues to show steady play in baseball abilities behind the plate and at 1B. He utilizes his feet well in in working in line through a quick transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 2.13-2.26 and will continue to drop as he improves foot quickness and builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Blocking / receiving tools are outstanding. At 1B, feet are active, displaying proper foot work around the bag. Hands are soft / clean as he consistently showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through an aggressive approach. For hitting grade to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load and use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and plays hard.
