  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

02/09/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Gainesville, FL Peyton improved arm strength to 72 MPH and exit velocity to 82 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Peyton has athletic actions, efficient footwork, and he covers ground well. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a strong/loose arm to his cut off man. On the mound, Peyton keeps his eyes on target, he has good balance, and on-time hand separation. He works in good rhythm, he has solid direction toward home plate, and his FB touched 69 MPH. Offensively, Peyton has an open stance, he loads well, and he swings aggressively. He has good strength, plus bat speed, and he hits hard to the pull side. Solid skills can continue to spike with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Play lower
2. Quicken exchange
3. Release
Pitching
1. Finish
2. Loosen AA
Offense
1. Lower body
2. Rhythm
3. Barrel accuracy

11/15/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Peyton is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. On the mound, Peyton keeps his eyes on target and stays inline towards the plate. He works with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 61mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 49-50mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 53-54mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Peyton improve as a pitcher. In the field. Peyton makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Peyton improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and gets back into his load well. He produces fast bat speed through the zone which leads to solid line drives. Peyton can improve as a hitter by taking a square stride to the ball. With six more years to develop, Peyton has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/30/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Jacksonville, FL Peyton is a tall, solid, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Peyton has efficient footwork, he fields out in front of his body, and makes the routine plays. He has a clean exchange, gets a good crow hop toward his target, and throws with accuracy. On the mound, Peyton has good composure, he keeps his eyes on target, and is around the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Peyton has an open stance, he loads well, and hits with strength to the pull side. He flashes a little bat speed and uses some lower body. Overall skills can get better if Peyton can work on the following.

Outfield
1. Release
2. Hands
3. Arm action
Pitching
1. Landing
2. Finish
3. Arm action
Offense
1. Lower body
2. Load/stride
3. Rhythm/timing

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
