As a right-handed hitter, Philip has a tall setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He takes an open stride and partially uses his lower throughout his swing. Philip has a long, upward swing path. He shows solid contact to the pull side. In the field, Philip plays the game hard and works to make the routine plays. He is developing smoother footwork and better body control. He fields the ball in a high position with his hands deep. Philip has a long arm action and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. On the mound, Philip has a strong mound presence and pitches with good rhythm. He has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. Philip lands open to home plate with the proper stride length and a controlled landing. His fastball has tail action at 79-80 MPH. He also has good feel for his changeup and shows a medium breaking curveball. Overall, Philip is a versatile skill set and good approach giving him potential to advance his game with development.
