01/15/2024 - National Showcase - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Pierre is a tall athletic SS/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Has long-levers and a projectable frame. At SS he has a good pre-pitch routine and efficient footwork allows him to center the baseball. He works to close distance on batted balls and has a low funnel. He creates momentum on his throws and keeps his feet active throughout process. A right-handed pitcher who has a repeatable delivery and throws with intent. Starts with a good rear hip coil and has a clean arm stroke. He works off of his FB that topped out at 74mph with tailing action. He mixes in a 10/4 shaped breaking ball and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate he starts with a tall and open stance. Shows natural strength in swing and uses his long levers to generate power. Has a fast barrel through the hitting zone with late bat whip. With another season of continued development, we foresee Pierre making huge strides on the baseball field.

11/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Atlanta, GA Pierre is 2024 grad out of Grayson High School who is a 3B/RHP. On the mound, his fastball topped out at 71 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active and works through the ball with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he has an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Pierre is a 2024 prospect out of Detroit, MI who played 3B and got some time on the mound during his time in Pirate City. He was a team player who hustled and was coachable while in Florida. He increased arm velocity to 78 MPH and broad jump to 6'11" at the event. At 3B, Pierre moves well to the ball through playable footwork. He centers well and throws with a loose arm action across the diamond. On the mound, Pierre's FB touched 67 MPH, he gathers well, and lands with good direction toward the plate. He works all out of the stretch, competes in the zone, and attacks hitters. Offensively, Pierre has raw/athletic actions, good strength, and pop in his bat. He has a good eye for the zone and showed good hustle on the base paths.

09/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Pierre is a tall, solid catcher who has a bright future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are aggressive and active as he works in line to his target, through a clean transfer/exchange as the gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the 2.28 range. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He displays soft hands but needs to present earlier target and work to get body down sooner through the blocking process. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Pierre has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
