07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Quentin is a strong, athletic 3B prospect with advanced tools for his age and good feel for the position at third. He displays a strong, accurate arm that allows him to make tough throws from the line and start the DP quickly. He has quick feet and is agile moving side to side to get to anything hit his way. He works from the ground up to play the tough hops and make all of the plays with good hands and a quick exchange and release. At the dish, he shows fluid rhythm to load and launch his swing with fast bat speed through the zone. He stays balanced with a strong lower half and generate gap pop to show extra base ability. Letting the ball travel and staying back will allow him to cover any pitch in any part of the zone. Quentin is a talented player who looks to have a bright future in the game.

03/25/2018 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Quentin is a tall, athletic 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.93. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. With 2 years to develop, Quentin has potential to be a solid player with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
