01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Quenton continues to show strong athleticism and baseball skill. Defensively, his glove played sure after he worked to his fielding position on-time with efficient footwork and body control. He worked well laterally, had clean hands and threw with accuracy to his targets. Offensively, he showed a contact approach with strength in his hands. He was loose through the zone accelerating the barrel with plus bat speed and flashing pull side pop. He moved down the line at a 4.6 and ran another sub 7 sixty. In all - Quenton has worked himself into a strong prospect and still has a high ceiling going into his senior spring.

07/30/2015 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown Quenton is a proven hard worker who has significantly progressed in his game. He stands out as a true athlete, 6.65 - 60, 9'2 broad jump and has explosiveness in his body. At the plate, he has an athletic setup with fluid rhythm to load. He fires the barrel through the zone with quick hands as he shows the ability to drive the ball the other way with power. He connects with strength and the ball jumps off of his barrel. Defensively, Quenton moves lightly on the balls of his feet and covers ground laterally with a ton of speed. He gathers smoothly and works in-line toward 1B. He is a very hard worker with off the charts makeup. Quenton is a very talented prospect whose skills will translate well into the next level.

03/08/2015 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Quenton is a SS with consistent play ability on both sides of the baseball. Defensively, he worked his feet to field out in front with a sure glove and body control. He created angles to gain momentum and had a clean exchange to throw. Learning to throw from multiple arm slots and speeding up his clean exchange are two aspects where he can improve. At the dish, he was quick to contact with the barrel and flashed use of his lower half. More hand activation and increased extension are keys to further development. In all - Quenton is a gifted runner, 6.9 sixty, that has a frame to mold for next level play.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
