11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Fall Prospects Tournament (HS) Raley is a 2025 LHP/OF who showcased his skills during the Fall Prospects Tournament. In the OF, he showed good range and has good instincts. He worked to center the baseball and works with good direction through the baseball. He has a clean funnel off of his right foot. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot into the infield with a quick release. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance. He starts with a short glide step and stays balanced throughout swing. Good rotation enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during BP. During the games, he had 2 singles, and 2 RBI's. A left-handed pitcher, he starts with a small rocker step and strides in-line to his target. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 72mph. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Raley as he enters his sophomore baseball season.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Raley is an OF/LHP who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. In the OF, good reads off bat and efficient footwork enables him to take good routes to balls. Square fielding position as he fields ball out front with ability to make routine plays. Throws from a over the top arm slot with an arm velocity of 67mph into infield. On the mound, this left-handed pitcher works with good tempo. Good direction towards plate and ability to throw strikes. Attacks hitters with a FB that was up to 67mph, a breaking ball 2/8 shape, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. In 2 innings of work, Raley induced weak contact and a strikeout looking. A left-handed hitter, starts with an athletic and closed stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good awareness of the strike zone. Simple and balanced swing with ability to hit balls to all fields with a recorded bat exit velocity of 74mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

09/24/2021 - MS All-Region Tournament Raley is a 2025 OF/LHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All Region Tournament. In the outfield, he showed good agility, with active feet, and ability to make routine plays. He gains ground downhill to baseball. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a long arm action in back, and an arm velocity into cutoff man up to 72mph. On the mound, Raley gets a good rear hip coil and works with good direction down the mound. A clean arm action with good extension to mitt and he pitches to contact. He attacks hitters with a FB that sat 64-66mph with some movement in the strike zone. In 3 innings of work, he stuck out 2 hitters and induced soft contact. At the plate, he sets up in an even and upright stance. Stays tall throughout swing and has an athletic finish. Sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity 68mph. Had 5 singles and a base on balls in live game action. With four more years to develop, Raley has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
