07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Ramon is a strong, well-built 2B/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2019. In the field, Ramon plays with fluid, active footwork and agile actions taking the correct routes to cover a wide range. He fields the ball in an athletic position with a firm glove. Ramon has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws have online strength and he is developing consistency. As a right-handed hitter, Ramon has a tall, open stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and an on-time stride. Ramon has a direct swing path producing consistent contact. He has a good idea of the strike zone with the right approach. Ramon has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Ramon plays the game the right way on both sides of the ball and has solid potential to take his game to the next level.

06/18/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Ramon is a young 2B/OF with an athletic frame and good upside. At 2B, Ramon shows soft hands as he works to get around the ball and field on the right side for a quick exchange. He is productive with his prep step allowing him to work aggressively to the ball and make routines plays. At the plate, Ramon is aggressive with a good feel for the barrel to make contact with a slight uppercut path. Overall, Ramon is hard-working, tough, competitive athlete with 3 full seasons ahead of him where he is going to be a fun player to follow and make an impact on a college roster someday.

01/18/2016 - College PREP - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ Ramon is a young (2019 grad) R/R MIF who has an athletic build. Defensively, he has active prep footwork and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He presents his glove, fields the ball out in front and funnels smoothly. He has a clean exchange and fires accurate throws to 1B. As a hitter - Ramon stands in well with centered balance and patience. Swing path is level as he connects and some some pop to his pull-side. Working to engage his full lower 1/2 will help to tap into even more power potential. Ramon has tools with still a ton of time to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
