09/30/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Jacksonville, FL Randall is an talented 2019 2-way prospect with a strong lower hlaf that continue to progress in his development. In the OF, Randall is aggressive on ground balls, works behind the ball, and makes the routine play. At the plate, Randall starts in a squared stance and tracks the ball well. He stays balanced throughout the swing and shows the ability to make good contact to the pull side. On the bump, Randall separates on time, he keeps his eyes on his target, and has good rhythm in his delivery. His fastball tops out at 74, his curveball has a 10-4 break, and he has fastball arm speed on his changeup. We hope Randall cotinues to improve throughout his development.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Randall is a compact, athletic two-way player who works hard and plays the game the right way. He shows feel to hit with the ability to make consistent, square contact and flash pop to the pull side. His hands are quick working through the zone and are strong at contact to impact the ball. He stays connected in his upper and lower half and shows a strong bat angle to make line drive contact. In the outfield, his feet are active as he works to the ball, taking efficient angles to cover a lot of ground. He fields square and gets behind the ball to play through with momentum to his target to make accurate throws. On the mound, he features a FB/SL mix from a high ¾ arm slot with solid control to both sides of the plate. He does a good job of holding runners by varying his looks and showing a quick pickoff move. Being more directional to the plate will free up his arm swing and add velocity. Randall is an interesting prospect we want to see more of.

01/07/2018 - College PREP - Jacksonville, FL Randall is an athletic 2019 RHP prospect. On the bump, Randall has an arsenal of pitches and fills up the zone with all three. He has a good feel for the fastball and gets good arm side run. At the plate, Randall starts in a tall stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He attacks the inside part of the ball and uses the lower half. Randall will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
