12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Raymond is a hard working 2-way player as a (RHP/1B). On the mound, this projectable strike thrower attacks the zone with several pitches. He has an easy over the top delivery, and locates in the top of the zone making hitters swing and miss. His curveball has a 11/5 tilt with fastball arm speed. He has some pitchability and high pitching IQ. Raymond works quickly giving hitters little time to get set. Moving forward, Raymond should work on finishing every pitch through a towel drill which will help with extension out in front. Offensively, Raymond has an aggressive approach. He displays a square setup while staying centered with his lower 1/2 at the contact point. His swing path is direct through contact as he has some pop to all fields. At 1B, Raymond shows active footwork as he hustles into position behind the GB. He has good mechanics with 3-6-3 plays with a clean exchange. Ramos makes adjustments and improved each day at Pirate City.
