12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Reese continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Recruiting classic showcase. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.51 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his tremendous foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well as he transfer weight into a firm front side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 82 mph. Fastball shows a range of 80-82 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and great team player.

04/18/2021 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Reese is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way (6.72 60 time). Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (87 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (92 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a 3 pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. Reese has a tremendous upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
