01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Reggie is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Reggie takes a good first step and shows quick footwork. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting his hands activated in a smooth load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a smooth swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Reggie is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he progresses.

07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Reggie continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 75 mph. Fastball shows a range of 72-75 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with loose spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
