12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Reid continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

07/28/2019 - College PREP - Virginia Beach, VA Reid is an athletic and talented 2022 OF prospect that hits from both sides of the plate. In the OF, Reid is on time with his prep step, he creates angles to the ball, and plays through the ball well. He works behind the ball well, creates momentum with his lower half, and makes accurate throws. From the left side of the plate, he loads his hands back into the drive position, gets balanced at contact, and shows a pull side approach. From the right side he has a quiet load and gets balanced at contact. He keeps the barrel inside the ball and is aggressive with his lower hall when attacking the ball. Reid will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
